Endodontics is concerned with the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the tooth root, dental pulp, and surrounding tissue.
Non-surgical endodontics – This is a technical term used for Root Canal Treatment or RCT.
Surgical endodontics – These include surgical procedures to eliminate inflammation and/or infection from the root ends and surrounding areas. Procedures include Apicectomy, perforation repair and root resection.
